@ L'Hôtel du Collectionneur, Paris
“Thank you so much for the photographs – they’re amazing and give a really good taste of the event! Huge thanks for all your hard work…, it really was a pleasure working with you.”
The first of two networking evenings from TAXAND’s 5-day annual global event, at l’Hôtel du Collectionneur. This particular cocktail event took place in the hotel’s basement foyer, just outside where the main conference would be held the following day.
Despite there being virtually no available light, due to extremely high ceilings, I was rarely able to use flash effectively, and so mainly worked with a 50mm prime lens, finding angles which granted enough available light. When taking candid portraits of groups up close, if possible I tend to avoid using flash in any case, as the light falling on subjects at different distances from the lens will inevitably be unbalanced.
