CORPORATE EVENT PHOTOGRAPHY
My Event Photography can be of interest to organizations of all sizes, whether Paris-based or visiting.
Most of the events I photograph fall under the categories of "Conferences" and "Networking Events", often encompassing elements of both. Examples of speaker / audience events I cover include seminars and forums; examples of social events include workshops & team-building.
Most client briefs dictate my focus to be candid photography, but this is rarely exclusive of Group & Individual Portraits, Architectural Photography, & Branding / Detail Photography.
As with my Lifestyle Photography, I aim to make each image of my Event Photography tell a story about the occasion and generate interest in both the event itself and its attendees. Whatever the intended use of the final images, whether for printed brochures or social media posts, I assure clients receive photographs of promotional quality, and not simply "snaps" of "who-is-who".
Fully appreciating the publicity value Corporate Event clients want their images to have, I'm conscious to work shots from angles that sell the "grandeur" of the occasion. Like this, I'm able to make even modestly-attended events appear sizable, which, from a promotional outlook, is extremely important - presentation is everything.
My approach to retouching Event photos is meticulous and ever sensitive to their intended use, whether in the context of online or print.
Custom Photo Splits (%/%)
Unless otherwise instructed, I'll simply submit the photos that, together, portray the event in the most engaging way.
e.g. this could be 50% candid, 25% group portrait, 10% branding, and 15% "environment" (the location, the crowds of guests, the arrivals etc).
That said, I openly encourage clients to communicate their preferences. This could be done via a general discussion between us prior to the event or via a written shot list outlining which guests or groups of guest to focus on.
As with all my creative assignments, the more information I'm given, the better.
As both an On Location & In Studio portrait photographer, I can also propose, as an additional service, the option for a "Photo Booth" to be set up on location where guests can come as they please to have their portrait taken. This has proven to be an appreciated feature to have at social networking events.
With all services, the larger the requested task, the better the value the quote.
FAQs ABOUT CORPORATE EVENT PHOTOGRAPHY
Q) How many photographs do you submit?
Unless clients specify an amount, I'll propose an image-count based on the scale and duration of the event. As with all other aspects of my quote, if what I suggest is not appropriate for a particular client, I'll modify the proposal accordingly; there's little point in a client paying for more photos than needed.
Q) Following your submission, can I purchase more photos?
Absolutely - upon a client's request I can send previews of the outtakes from which they can choose additional photographs for me to edit.
Q) We mainly want candid images - is this possible?
Of course - if clients prefer, they can communicate a "custom photo split" or "shot guidelines" specifying which type of shots they'd like to receive,
e.g. "80% candid, 15% portrait, 5% branding".
Q) We've a specific budget - can you accommodate?
When requesting a quote clients have the opportunity to specify a "Budget", which helps me to make a proposal in their price range.
