Berlin, where I resided for 2-years, is where I really developed both my DSLR photography and my love of photographing strangers. Visually, it really is a city that offers everything, if you can except the fact that anything "pristine" is hard to come by; the rough-around-the-edges nature of just about everything and the buzzing atmosphere make Berlin truly one of a kind. A lot of people don't get it, just as a lot of people don't get Paris, but I really love both cities.
With regard to photographing people, whether through street photography or through spontaneous portraits of strangers, the city really is second-to-none; in few places will you find such a "mixed-bag" of individuals.
