PRESS & PROMOTIONAL DOCUMENTARY
My public reportage photography encompasses all community and commercial events that fall outside the business sector. This service can be of interest to press organisations such as newspapers and magazines; sport, artistic and community associations; and independent production companies.
My task as a photographer is to capture the most varied set of images possible so as to tell the most complete story of what I witness, whether to promote or simply to draw attention to the occasion or cause. Even more so than my corporate work, these photographs aim to show the occasion from the perspective of an observer or attendee, with any direct interactions with the lens from participants usually being much more spontaneous in nature.

Q) We’ve an urgent photography request for central Paris. How soon can you be available?
I can literally be on location within the hour, so if you’re looking for the fastest way to get exclusive professional documentary straight from the heart of the French capital, simply get in touch.
Q) Our event runs over several days, but our association has a very limited budget; how can we get the best coverage possible?
Simply communicate your target expenditure and provide me with an itinerary or program for the occasion and I’ll get back to you with a proposal.
Q) We require the images directly after the event for a news article - is this possible?
All deadlines are possible and I can transfer images directly from location. I simply need to know in advance when exactly the images will need to be with you.
Q) We'd like you to photograph our concert, but we're concerned the stage and venue will be very darkly lit. How do you get round this?
Being a professional photographer specialised in event photography, my equipment is perfectly adapted to low-light conditions. Depending on the venue and the nature of the occasion, I could also look to setup some on stage lighting equipment.
Q) We'd like our performance documenting, but we're concerned about a photographer's presence distracting the audience.
As a conference photographer, I'm very experienced in working discreetly. For a creative production, I can also propose documenting both the live performance and the rehearsal process, so that you’ll have shots capturing the energy of a live performance and true on stage close ups; performers will thus be able to separate the performance from the promotional therefore giving you the best of both worlds.
Q) To get images that both demonstrate the work and introduce the employees of our association, can we combine this service with a portrait shoot?

COMMUNITY
Community documentary can cover a whole range of public events and activities, from those sponsored or endorsed by a municipality, to social projects led by independent associations. Like all reportage photography, the principal discrete, unintrusive approach is complemented, whenever possible and appropriate, by portraits of participants or onlookers, either taken spontaneously or as part of a separate, scheduled shoot. A public community event is all about the people involved, hence it’s great to give them the attention they deserve.

DEMONSTRATIONS
Paris being a major hub of cultural events, the regular parades and rallies held in the French capital make both the national and international news on a regular basis. Effective photojournalist documentary requires energy, attentiveness and forethought, to assure that the right images will be captured from the best perpective, at the most appropriate time.
Being based in central Paris, I can literally be on location within the hour and therefore accommodate even the most last-minute requests for photography; this is practical for any organisation that requires professionally captured visuals of news incidents as they occur.

PERFORMANCE
Performance photography encompasses not only documentary of live productions, but all stages of the performers’ creative process, including rehearsals and behind the scenes imagery. In the role of concert photographer, I am conscious of the importance of capturing both the emotion and the energy of each participating artist, whilst maintaining the utmost level of discretion (and, as appropriate, silence, which is of paramount importance when covering orchestral and classical performances).

SPORT
Whether photographing a weekend tournament or an ongoing competition; whether you’re an association, athletic team or individual sportsman; I can document the action of your sporting event itself and also produce accompanying portraits of participants, both as a unit and as individual athletes. On occasion, sports photography can also be called upon within the context of larger institutional events, to document moments such as charity races or team-building activities.
