PHOTOGRAPHY PACKAGES:
COMBINING CREATIVE SERVICES

Hiring a professional photographer isn't merely a financial investment; whatever the service booked, the photography always requires time and, often, much preparation.

For example:

  • a corporate portrait session will require the coordination of the schedules of various employees - some, if not all of them, senior executives - so that shooting can take place continually and efficiently throughout a specified period.

  • a private portrait session will require forethought as to location, clothing, hair, makeup, accessories.. etc.

I want my clients to get as much out of hiring me as possible, and a great way to do this is through booking multiple services at once. Whilst it's great if these can be carried out together, back-to-back, as part of one combined day of shooting, even if the two requested services must be scheduled on different days, simply by booking and planning them together you are still making significant savings.

SUGGESTIONS FOR BUSINESS CLIENTS

Team Portraits + Interior Photography + PR Photography
Most requests for business portraits I receive are first and foremost for the purposes of imagery to be used on enterprise websites. The end result being all about showing both the professional and personable corporate profile of a company, both dedicated architectural imagery of the office building itself and candid PR images of the live work space can equally, if not more so, convey this.

Event + Portrait
Event coverage by its nature can entail just about every other photography genre under the sun (this is in fact one of the main reasons I became specialised in business event reportage). However, the typical portraits taken over the course of an event are usually very spontaneous, rapid and dependent on available light. By setting aside the physical space and time for a dedicated portrait shoot, I'm able to take quality headshots, of both individuals or groups, using specific portrait lighting. This not only adds another aspect to your event image catalogue, but also gives you visuals that stand apart from the specific event in which they were taken and which can thus also be used in various other contexts.

Office Portraits + Natural Light Portraits
Whilst office portraits are excellent for presenting a company, it's great when they can be complemented by outdoor imagery. If you're a business based in Paris and your premises don't have an exclusive or shared outdoor area, not to worry; in the French capital you are very often only a short walk away from a recognisable landmark.

Product Photography on Location + Product Photography in Studio
I can't recommend this combination enough, especially for functional items designed to be interacted with. The on location images will show the product in a typical context/setting for its use and its live handling, leaving the studio imagery free to focus on highlighting its physical features and aesthetic qualities (form, texture etc).

SUGGESTIONS FOR PRIVATE CLIENTS

Lifestyle + Portrait
As outlined in the following article, lifestyle and portrait are two very different services:
➤ Portrait VS Lifestyle

Upon request, on a private photo shoot for a couple or group, I'll set aside some shoot time to capture at least a couple of dedicated natural light portraits of each individual. This is well worth doing as it means that, in addition to the candid images that will form the bulk of your photographs, you'll also end up with some finely retouched headshots which you can use in a completely exclusive context (such as for your professional profile).

Portrait in Studio + Portrait Outdoor
The best of both worlds; this combination will assure that you truly will have the right headshot to hand for any need that arises. For professionals, this is the perfect way to mix both corporate imagery with more personable casual shots.

The outdoor session could either be done on a different day at your chosen Paris location, or, if you are open regarding the setting and/or you are looking for a more economical option, on the same day, in the vicinity of the studio (20th arrondissement).

Engagement shoot + Wedding Photography + Post-Wedding Shoot
Although normally booked on different days, if you're to get married in Paris, it's actually possible to do all three as one continuous service: for a European capital the city is fairly small and getting between vastly different iconic locations can be fairly quickly done in a taxi; therefore, if you've the energy, there is nothing to stop you shooting at the Eiffel Tower directly before the ceremony and at Montmartre afterwards. Furthermore, if you're flexible regarding the location and are only looking for a handful of shot, as Paris districts are so invariably beautiful, whichever town hall (mairie) you choose for you ceremony, you'll likely find good outdoor spots only a short walk away.

Whilst the all-in-one-day approach is great for those with short ceremonies, fewer guest and more restricted budgets, doing each shoot on a separate day has obvious benefits:
The Advantages of Multiple Shoots

Surprise Proposal Shoot + Engagement Session
I recommend two different ways to propose in Paris, both of which incorporate, as standard, a lifestyle photography session for the bride-and-groom-to-be. The shoot can be both emotional and (understandably) nerve wracking and the proposal photographs inevitably concentrate on this. The reason why I recommend booking an additional engagement shoot at a later date is that it allows the couple - with the nerves of the proposal behind them - to enjoy the experience of being directed by the photographer for a full dedicated couple shoot.

WHAT ARE YOUR NEEDS IN TERMS OF PHOTOGRAPHY?

The "packages" outlined above are merely suggestions for combined creative services based on common requests and also on my recommendations; I adapt all my proposals to the requirements of each client, so if you've alternative needs or different preferences for the format of a shoot, I'll be happy to accommodate.
