A surprise marriage proposal followed by a lifestyle shoot for a British couple on the Quai d'Orléans of Île Saint-Louis, over the water from Notre-Dame.
This was an evening photography session taking place just before the start of the golden hour under a clear summer sky, hence the light quality was very good, albeit strong and directional. As with all my surprise proposal photo shoots, the time remaining following the proposal itself was spent exploring the area as per one of my standard Paris photo tours.
The couple were a pleasure to work with and the groom-to-be did a first class job of timing and positioning his going down on one knee as per my recommendations.
