CORPORATE EVENT PHOTOGRAPHY
My event photography can be of interest to organisations of all sizes, whether Paris-based, located elsewhere in France, or visiting from abroad.
Most of the business events I photograph fall under the categories of conferences, networking events, workshops and team building, and very often encompass elements of each.
Whilst most client briefs for corporate gatherings request my focus to be on candid photography, inevitably almost all such occasions will have me providing group photos and individual portraits; architectural and location photography; and branding and detail photography.
My event services in Paris are booked for a wide range of formal occasions, by a wide variety of business clients from exclusive VIP cocktail evenings for luxury fashion brands to week-long coverage of annual summits for leading globals firms.
As with my lifestyle photography, I aim to make each image of my event coverage tell a story about and generate interest in both the occasion itself and its attendees. Whatever the intended use of the submitted documentary material - whether it’s for printed brochures or social media posts - I assure clients receive meticulous, professional photographs with true promotional value, not simply an album of "who-is-who".
With a creative background in advertising and marketing, I appreciate more than anyone the publicity value corporate event clients want their images to have. I'm therefore conscious to work shots from angles that maximise the grandeur of the occasion, so as to make even the most modestly-attended events appear sizeable. Presentation is everything.
My approach to retouching event photos is thorough and ever sensitive to their intended use of the final images, whether in the context of online or print.
Custom Photo Splits (%/%)
Unless otherwise instructed, I'll simply submit the combination of photographs that, collectively, portray the event in both the most engaging and the most comprehensive way.
That said, I openly encourage clients to communicate any preferences they might have. This could be done via a general discussion between us prior to the event or via a written shot list outlining which guests or groups of guest to focus on.
As with all my creative assignments, the more information I'm given, the better :)
As a studio portrait photographer, I can also propose, as an additional service, the option for a Photo Booth to be set up on location where guests can come as they please to have their portrait taken. This has proven to be an appreciated feature to have at social networking evenings.
With all my media services, the larger the scale of requested task, the better the value my photography quote.
FAQs ABOUT CORPORATE EVENT PHOTOGRAPHY
Q) How many photographs do you submit?
Unless clients specify an amount, I'll propose images-counts based on the type, scale and duration of the event. As with all other aspects of my quote, if what I suggest is not appropriate for a particular client, I'll modify my proposal accordingly; there's little point in a client paying for more photos than needed.
Q) Following your submission, can I purchase more photos?
Absolutely - upon your request I can send previews of the outtakes from which you can choose additional photographs.
Q) We mainly want candid images - is this possible?
Of course - if clients prefer, they can communicate a "custom photo split" or "shot guidelines" specifying which type of shots they'd like to receive,
e.g. "80% candid, 15% portrait, 5% branding".

My conference photography covers any proceedings with either a speaker-audience format (such as a lecture, presentation, unveiling, or performance) or a formal group discussion (such as a public or closed debate, a round-table meeting, seminar, forum, convention or congress).

Under networking photography fall any formal social occasions, such a cocktail event (apéro), high-level dinner, work evening, or company anniversary celebration. Such meet and greet occasions are as much a chance for familiar work colleagues to speak on a more personal level, as they are an opportunity for new connections to be made. Even if documenting networking is not the main focus of a particular assignment, I am always on the lookout to capture such moments, which add a sociable touch to the final catalogue.

Whether centred around industry-based exercises to explore solutions for business affairs or around non-work-related activities to promote a greater team spirit, workshop and team events are always a pleasure to photograph. Their element of discovery, whether through learning or entertainment, makes coworkers or guests all the more engaged and enjoyable to photograph.

PARIS SEINE DINNER CRUISE TOURS & BOAT EVENTS
Paris cruises and boating trips are an evermore popular idea for professional social events. From my perspective as a professional event photographer, they present numerous challenges, mainly due to restricted space and often uneven lighting, which makes them all the more engaging to photograph. Having the continually changing perspectives of the Seine river in the background, they are arguably the most efficient way for an event organiser to give guests a taste of the French capital.
